WFH Desk

  • I designed and built this desk for my home office in the early days of COVID-19. I was inspired by Christopher Schwarz’s writing and book, "The Anarchist’s Design Book." I wanted a simple work surface with limited storage, so I designed a desk with clean lines and crisp details. To lighten the overall look of the desk, I created a tapered octagon shape for the legs. To challenge my joint-making skills, I designed the leg structure to attach to the desktop via a sliding tapered dovetailed baton. I hung the drawer on hidden wooden runners inside the drawer box to emphasize the sleek look.
